Manager Rafael Benitez has all but admitted defeat in the club's chase for a Champions League place after the Reds were held to a frustrating goalless draw by Fulham at Anfield on Sunday.

The result left them sixth in the Barclays Premier League. They trail fourth-placed Manchester City by six points with just four fixtures remaining and having played once more than the Eastlands outfit.
